Cosy therapy space for deep healing couples intensives with Lucy Orton

Couples intensives can help you accomplish in one deep-dive experience what may take months in traditional therapy.

Feel better, faster and begin a deep journey as a couple

What makes a couples intensive different:

Weekly therapy has its place. But in my opinion, for most couples facing challenges, fifty minutes a week is not enough.
You spend half the session getting back into it, and just as something important surfaces, time is up. You go home, life intervenes, and by the following week the thread is lost.

An intensive removes all of that. We go deep and we work in full days or half days, without interruption, going where the work requires. There is no catching up, no easing in, no stopping when it gets difficult. We stay with it until something actually shifts.

For couples who have been stuck for a long time, or who are facing something serious, this is often the difference between therapy that cycles round and round, and therapy that moves.

REASONS WHY CLIENTS HAVE CHOSEN A couples intensives

YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER

You may have done couples therapy before. Now, you’re ready for an accelerated, immersive experience that brings faster clarity, healing, and reconnection, without waiting week to week.

SCHEDULES ARE PACKED

If you travel for work, juggle parenting or have very busy seasons and then quieter ones, or simply find it hard to commit to weekly sessions, an intensive offers the space and depth you need without dragging the process out over months.

A LIFE CHANGE IS AHEAD

Whether you're getting married, starting a family, facing an empty nest, moving abroad or navigating a career leap, you want to do the deep work now to strengthen your bond and move forward with clarity and intention.

UNRESOLVED PAIN

Whether it’s trauma from years ago or a more recent rupture, you know this pain is shaping how you connect, communicate and trust. You’re ready to face it together, with focused, trauma-informed support.

imagine finally getting to…

RLT intensives get to the heart of your relational dynamic fast.

Combined with IFS and Brainspotting, the work moves at a depth and pace that weekly therapy cannot reach.

Couples leave with clarity about what has actually been happening between them, practical tools they can use immediately, and often a genuine sense of reconnection they had stopped believing was possible.

This is not a quick fix. But it is a fast one. The difference matters: the changes are real, rooted, and built to last beyond the room.

What does a couples intensive actually look like?

1

Reach out

Fill in the contact form and tell me a little about where you are. I'll be in touch to arrange a free consultation.

2

Get to work

Before your intensive, you'll complete a pre-intensive workbook. This shapes how we use our time together and means we start with depth, not small talk.

3

Real change

You'll leave with a written integration summary, a follow-up session, and a clearer sense of each other than you've had in years. Most couples describe it as more movement than months of weekly therapy.

Your Intensive Specialist

I'm Lucy Orton: a specialised intensives therapist, a certified sex therapist, and RLT practitioner trained through Terry Real's Relational Life Institute.

I also work with IFS and Brainspotting, which means I can hold the relational work, the trauma work and sex therapy work at the same time, without referring you elsewhere.

I work with couples globally through online intensives, and occasionally in-person in Southeast Asia.

My practice is small by design. I work with very few intensive clients at any one time, which means when we work together, you have my full preparation and presence.

Your therapy investment

Your relationship
is worth it.

Therapy intensives are a significant investment — one that can create meaningful, lasting change in a short period of time. They’re designed for couples who want depth, impact, and momentum without the drawn-out timeline of weekly sessions.

Couples intensives start from $5,500 per day. This includes pre-intensive preparation, multiple hours of deep therapeutic work (combining Relational Life Therapy, as well as trauma modalities when needed (IFS and Brainspotting), and integration support to help you carry the impact forward into your daily life and relationship.

What’s included:

  • Pre-intensive consultation and preparation materials

  • Full day, two-day and three-day formats available, fully tailored to your relationship's needs

  • A personalised roadmap to continue your growth as a couple

Cancellations & Rescheduling:
Due to the nature of this work, intensives require a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice to reschedule. Your intensive dates are reserved just for you, and a significant amount of preparation goes into your experience.

Thoughtful and focused care:
I only work with a small number of intensive clients each season. This is deliberate and ensures I can be fully present and prepared for the depth of work we’ll do together, from curating resources to preparing a supportive structure tailored to your goals.

Common questions about couples intensives

  • This really depends on your partnership, your goals and your challenges, and we can discuss this on your free consult. Intensives are ideal for couples ready to dive deep and make faster progress, but some may benefit more from ongoing weekly support depending on their needs and stage in the process.

  • A couples intensive offers focused, transformative support in a condensed timeframe, typically over a number of days, instead of spreading sessions over weeks or months. Unlike traditional weekly couples therapy, intensives allow you to go deep, resolve long-standing issues, and create real momentum in a safe, structured environment. This immersive approach is especially effective for couples facing communication breakdowns, recurring conflict, or wanting to reconnect quickly and meaningfully. If you’re looking for faster, lasting results, a couples intensive may be the breakthrough you need.
